Coney Island Beach Visit

I went to the beach today and did some sketching there after swimming in the ocean. I sketched the lifeguard who thankfully did not move a lot so I could draw him. Before that I sketched the view of Luna park and all the rollercoasters that were seen from my viewpoint.

Dresses

Started sketching some dresses that I found online. Then decided to make 2 sketches of a similar dress. Th dress style was copied from a dress found on the social apparel website. The pattern is similar to a pattern that Hayden Williams back in March or April.

Late night sketching

I was in the mood to stay up late one night to sketch and watch tv shows online. I started by being inspired by paperfashion.com for the swimsuits page of sketches. Then I did some practice sketches with my different brushes. I also tried a modern art attempt of the letters of the alphabet.

Visit to Brooklyn

I went to brooklyn the past 2 days. First I sketched my outfit from yesterday. The two different ways you can wear that shirt. (I love that shirt!!!!) the watercolor was added to it today when I got home. There was no room in my bag for my watercolor stuff.

Then I found a book in my grandparents bookshelf that's a guidebook of California and listed through it for a good architecture picture to sketch. I love sketching architecture in ink or pencil. Architecture just doesn't have a lot of color to it. It would have to be a really light wash.

Doodling

These are just some doodles I did while watching tv. They were largely inspired by the swim suits drawing that the blog paperfashion.net had from July 19. Of course hers are all pink and mostly 2 pieces. I also was just experimenting with my watercolors and what I could do with them.

The next day I decided to sketch some more dresses. There's 6 different styles. Each of the styles has a different color. I really like this pictures. If I was to ever become a fashion illustrator I think I'd pretty happy. Only problem is that I don't design really intricate stuff. I'll just stick to drawing what I wear. :)

Taxi Cabs and Shoes

Some more color. I just left my watercolors on my table overnight. The only thing hat changed was the water haha. The taxi cab was drawn from a picture I found. The shoe is also from my picture. It's an interesting shoe thats designed by the company united nude. They have really architecturally influenced shoe styles. Maybe when I earn enough money in the future to buy a pair of their shoes I'll draw a picture of me wearing these shoes.

Color for new sketchbook

So my sketchbook has finally seen some color. I was sketching while watching stuff on my laptop. I also found some good art quotes I like by Miles Davis and Degas. I also found a new way to draw plants like hydrangeas. Comment with your opinion if you like this style.

Past 2 Days of Sketching

I went to central park yesterday and I got to sketch my surroundings a bit. Then the other two drawings are some more architectural drawings from my architecture book. The big Japanese building is also a drawing I worked a lot on from my architecture book. I feel like it came out tilted but I'm not gonna try and fix it.

Architectural sketches

I recently got to cut out some pics from a HUGE stack of Interior Design magazines and these are just the sketches from those pictures. I really enjoyed drawing from those pictures.

These are all just small sketches from pictures I've found in my architecture book and a couple of stuff from the interior design magazines that my family was throwing out. Also there's some programming stuff that I was thinking about on the train mixed onto this one huge page.

July 15 sketching

I was at my friends house today and I woke up before her, so I picked up my sketchbook and sketched her room. It was a productive use of my time. :)

July 14 sketching

July 14 I decided to sketch the inside of my messy drawer (that I cleaned up before drawing haha) and then I went to the new York botanical zoo. I drew a tree and the Enid a. Haupt conservatory. It was a super fun day.

Also while I was finishing the drawing of the drawer while on the train later that day, a camp for kids got on the train do they all crowded around me to watch what I was drawing. It was really funny.

July 13 (a day early for sketchcrawl)

I was able to sketch more today so I web to the world financial center plaza and sketched a boat in the marina and the tap dancing performance that was going on there that day.

July 12 sketching

In preparation for my day of sketching aka sketchcrawl a day ahead though, I drew a map of downtown manhattan because that's where I went to sketch.

July 11 sketches

Today I was in Brooklyn so I got to sketch on the train on my way back.
I sketched some stuff on the train, outside the train, and while waiting for the train as always. The colorsworks weird thin is like mini color pencils my grandpa gave me.
I also decided to draw from a bird book that I have.
